Fairer AI billing by characters, with a monthly limit

What's new

AskDolphin now bills Dolphin AI by the characters it writes, at $0.50 per 1,000, with a monthly spending limit you set. Pro includes up to 150,000 characters a month and Free includes 5,000 once. Every Pro size includes characters each month, from 5,000 to 150,000; see AskDolphin pricing for each size.

Why it matters

You pay for what the AI writes, not for seats or for every message customers send. Your customers' messages and the knowledge Dolphin AI reads are free, and the limit you set means the AI never goes past your budget.

How to use it

• Set a monthly spending limit, starting at $5.
• When the limit is reached, Dolphin AI hands conversations to your team until next month or until you raise the limit.
• A typical chat reply is about 350 characters, or about $0.18. Each reply counts as at least 100 characters.
• $5 buys 10,000 characters, about 28 typical replies; $10 buys about 57.

Good to know

• Conversations that only Dolphin AI answers don't count toward your plan's conversations.
• The Sales Assistant's Advanced Visitor & Sales add-on is counted apart, in AI sessions, with no character counting.
• The monthly spending limit is included on Free and Pro.
