AskDolphin now lets you turn Dolphin AI on or off separately for website chat, QR chats and email. You can also choose whether it answers always or only when no agent is online, on website chat and on QR chats. More about Dolphin AI by AskDolphin.
Why it matters
Not every channel needs the same help. A shop might want the AI to answer QR scans in the store at any hour, but leave website chat to the team during the day. Separate switches let you decide channel by channel, and one master switch turns the AI off everywhere if you need it to.
How to use it
Whole workspace: open Dolphin AI, then Preferences, and use Activate Dolphin AI: "Enable Dolphin AI to respond to customer questions using your connected knowledge."
One channel: open Dolphin AI, then Channels, and pick Live Chat, QR code or Email. Each has its own switch.
When it answers: on Live Chat and on QR code, set "When should Dolphin AI respond?" to Always or When agents are offline.
How it introduces itself: in Preferences, set the AI Agent name (Dolphin AI, your company name or a custom name) and an optional AI Agent profile picture.
Good to know
The Email switch turns all email agents on or off together. Each agent then has its own automatic-reply setting, which is off by default.
Default language, also in Preferences, sets the language a chat starts in.
Each team member sets themselves Online or Offline under Availability, in the menu behind their profile picture.
AI replies in chat and on QR codes are included on Free and Pro.
