Customers can now talk to Dolphin AI in the AskDolphin chat widget: their speech is turned into text for the AI, and Dolphin AI's replies can be read aloud. Both work only with Dolphin AI, not with your team. It is part of how Dolphin AI by AskDolphin answers customers in the chat.
Why it matters
Typing on a phone while holding a product, or with tired eyes, is slow. Asking a question out loud and listening to the answer makes the chat easier for shoppers on the move, and for anyone who finds reading or typing on a small screen hard.
How to use it
Speak instead of typing: in a chat with Dolphin AI, the customer taps the microphone in the message box ("Ask your question...") and speaks. While they speak, the box shows a moving sound wave, with buttons to stop or cancel. Their words become text, and Dolphin AI answers that text as it answers any typed question.
Listen to a reply: the customer opens the menu on a message and chooses Read aloud. Copy text is in the same menu.
